Screening of Norwegian Artist Bodil Furu's“12 studies of Shit”

In connection with the ongoing Borderline Festival, on the 29th of June at 2 Kolegas Bar you have the chance to experience 12 short films made by Norwegian artist Bodil Furu.

Norwegian artist Bodil Furu is a pictorial artist who graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts Norway in 2002. Her work includes the use of video and audio, and has made films where she takes advantage of the documentary style both traditionally and experimental.

12 Studies of Shit is a series of 12 short films about various forms of “Shit”.
Some of the short films are interviews with an astrophysicist talking about space waste, a glimpse into the sewage treatments plant in Oslo and following a tomato seed threw the stomach

The other part of the short films consist of interviews with people having different experiences with their body waste.

In this way Furu shows our relation to waste, from the personal level up to a social perspective. This part also unavoidable dealing with our society’s hysterical relationship with dirt as something that does not actually exist in our world, where everything is judged by our shiny facades

The venue is 2 Kolegas Bar in Chaoyang district inside the drive in movie theater park (亮马桥路21号 Liangmaqiao Road nr 21).
The screening starts at 16.30 local Beijing time.
