Per request by the Forbidden City Concert Hall, the Norway Bergen Opera Choir now returns to China for the first time since 2001. Conducted by Anne Randione Overby, this collaborative effort brings to the Chinese audience works of Andrew Lloyd Webber, best know for his musicals Evita and Phantom of the Opera (performed for the first time in Asia), as well as that of Mozart. This event, which will he held in the grand Forbidden City Concert Hall, marks another step towards greater Sino/Norwegian cultural exchange and presents both modern and traditional opera in a way sure to appeal to Chinese and foreign audiences alike.
