The Embassy has the administrative responsibility for the following provinces; Beijing, Chongqing, Gansu, Guizhou, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hunan, Hubei, Jilin, Liaoning, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Shandong, Shanxi, Sichuan, Xizang, Xinjiang, Yunnan. The Ambassador in Beijing is also accredited to Mongolia.

The Embassy has a total staff of 40 people, half of which are Norwegians, while the other half are Chinese. The Ambassador is H.E. Mr. Svein O. Sæther, and the Deputy Chief of Mission is Minister Mr. Nils Martin Gunneng.

Praktikantopphold

Ambassaden i Beijing og generalkonsulatene i Shanghai og Guangzhou har alle praktikantordninger. Ambassaden har vanligvis to praktikanter, GK Shanghai en til to og GK Guangzhou en. Praktikantoppholdene varer i seks måneder, og kan ikke forlenges. Ledige praktikantopphold vil til enhver tid være annonsert på stasjonens hjemmeside.
