The Royal Norwegian Consulate-General was officially opened in September 2009 with Mrs. Sarangerel Luvsanvandan as the Honorary Consul-General. Mr. Uurtsaikh Nergui is responsible for daily office routine and consular affairs. The Norwegian Ambassador in Beijing is also accredited to Mongolia.

In September 2009 the Royal Norwegian Honorary Consulate-General in Ulaanbaatar was officially opened. This was a historic event for the bilateral cooperation between Norway and Mongolia.

During the Norwegian Embassy’s visit to Mongolia in November, two culture agreements were signed with the Arts Council of Mongolia. “We hope these projects will contribute to increased knowledge about Norway and Norwegian culture and history among Mongolians, Ambassador Sæther said during a ceremony at the Red Ger Gallery in Ulaan Baatar.
