Invitations

Last updated: 27/10/2010 // In order to be granted a visa, an applicant must have an invitation from a reference person in Norway. A letter of invitation does not guarantee a visa will be issued. The reference person are advised to send the invitation letter directly to the applicant, so that applicant can submit complete application.

An invitation must contain:

1.     Complete name of person invited

2.     Date or birth or passport number of person invited

3.     Your relationship to the person being invited

4.     Information on purpose of visit and duration of stay

5.     Details on accommodation and living expenses

6.     State whether the person extending the invitation is also standing as a financial guarantor for the applicant

7.     Complete name and address in Norway of the inviting party.

 

 

Business

An invitation must contain:

1.     Complete name of person invited

2.     Date or birth or passport number of person invited

3.     Information on purpose of visit and duration of stay

4.     Complete itinerary in Schengen area, and additional invitation letter if visiting other countries than Norway.

5.     Details on accommodation

6.     Complete name and address of registered company in Norway, completed with contact person, contact person’s signature and contact information (e-mail/phone number)

7.     If the inviting company is accepting financial responsibility with regard to the travel costs and stay, this must be made clear in the invitation.
