The duo Skaidi is set to embark on a tour in China from the 4th to the 9th of October, visiting Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. The Asia tour also includes performances at the Giant Steppes Jazz Festival 2010 in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia from the 30th of September to the 2nd of October.

The fourth annual Sino-Norwegian Music week will be held in Shanghai from October 10th to October 21st. Supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in cooperation with China Shanghai International Arts Festival and Concert Norway, three Norwegian bands will come to China to perform for Chinese schoolchildren during the festival.

A modern car carrier – the first in a series of four - was delivered from Xiamen Shipyard to Norwegian ship-owner Höegh Autoliners on the 16th of July. Being the first car carrier built for Höegh in China, she was aptly named “Höegh Beijing”. The three sister vessels are due for delivery October 2010 and June and October 2011.
