Shaping the design of Norway
Norsk Form, the Foundation for Design and Architecture in Norway, has as its stated objective “to raise the general understanding of the importance of architecture and design”, and “to achieve quality and innovation in the development of surroundings and products”. Since its establishment in 1992, the foundation has initiated and participated in a variety of events like workshops and exhibitions, in order to promote awareness of design and architecture.
Living spaces, dynamic design
Different projects falling under the scope of the foundation’s activities were presented in issue 137 of World Architecture Review, a Chinese magazine.
Approaching design in the broad sense, the issue introduces everything from Norwegian architectural policy to Norwegian design solutions being used around the world. The magazine cover depicts illustrations printed on bamboo, an excerpt from the exhibition “Manmade Environment”.
