September 29 marked the beginning of a three-month parallel exhibition all over Shanghai, called “Urban Renewal - Urban Space Art Season and West Bund Biennale 2015”. This art fair is an important landmark for cultural events in Shanghai.

Oslo School of Architecture and Design has been selected to exhibit the architecture installation “Custom Made – Naturalizing tradition” at the West Bund Art Center. The exhibition can be seen from September 29 and throughout the whole exhibition period.

“Custom Made – Naturalizing tradition” refers to the interplay between convention and

customization in Norwegian architecture and urban development. It is conceptualized around the central elements constituting architecture: The Wall and The Book.

This exhibition consists of a three-segmented floor installation and a wall-mounted collage of images. The two parts present the entire history of Norwegian architecture representing the production of tradition and the tradition of production.
