The young Norwegian artist, Henning Olav Espedal is participating in an international exhibition at Li-Space in Caoychangdi from 18 December 2011 to 30 January 2012.
Henning Olav Espedal lives and works in Beijing. Last year he took part in the exhibition MIRRORED at the True Color Museum in Suzhou, and he has shown his work at several galleries and museums in Norway in recent years. Now his work is part of the INCUBATOR exhibition at Li-Space in Beijing which opens on 18 December.
Renowned curator Gu Zhenqing is curating the exhibition. Gu has previously also curated the exhibition ‘Light as Fuck: Shanghai Assemblage 2002-2004’ displayed at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Oslo.
Li-Space has a goal of being a venue for new and innovative artistic expressions, not just in the up-and-coming generation but also among more established artists. They believe that artistic creation is infused with new energy from making fresh starts and shifting perspective.
In addition to Henning Espedal, the exhibition features Cao Kai (China), Costa (France), Feng Lianghong, Feng Lin, Feng Yan, Gao Feng, Gao Yuan, Geng Xue, Han Meichao, Han Xiangning, He Haoyuan (Israel), Li Songhua, Liu Zhuquan, Lin Ran, Pei Li, Ren Zhitan, Shao Yinong, Xu Yihui, Xue Lei (Germany), Yang Qiong, Zhao Guanghui, Zhang Wei, Zhu Liye.
