The second annual Norwegian seafood dinner arranged by the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai and Norwegian Business Association (NBA) was held on the 25th of November. Excellent food, multicultural music entertainment and lucky draw were on the evening’s program.

The annual Seafood Dinner provides an excellent opportunity for Norwegian companies in Shanghai to invite their staff and clients, Norwegians as well as Chinese, to enjoy an exciting buffet of Norwegian seafood. Norway is one of the largest exporters of seafood, exporting to more than 150 nations worldwide. Every day 127 million meals of Norwegian seafood are eaten around the world.
The guests at the Norwegian seafood dinner were upon arrival welcomed by Consul General Mr. Fred H. Nomme and the Chairman of NBA Mr. Geir Sviggum. Two rounds of lucky draw were carried out during the dinner, and the guests were entertained with music from ‘Steinar Nickelsen trio’. The trio consists of the Norwegian pianist Steinar Nickelsen, accompanied by Lin Di on pipa and Alex Ritz on drums.
The spectacular seafood buffet was prepared by the renowned Norwegian Chef Mr. Ivar Breivik together with a team of professionals from Regal Hotel. Mr. Ivar Breivik has been working as a chef at famous restaurants all over the world for 21 years, including the USA, Italy, Denmark, France, Spain, the Caribbean and Norway.
