The Norwegian bands Biosphere, Food, MoHa!, as well as VJ Pekka, will perform at the first of the four Guangzhou concerts during the NOTCH Festival 2009, the 'Aurora' Concert.

Biosphere is the main recording name of Geir Jenssen (born 1962), a Norwegian musician who has released a notable catalogue of ambient electronic music. He is well known for his "ambient techno" and "arctic ambient" styles, his use of music loops, and peculiar samples from sci-fi sources. His track "Novelty Waves" was used for the 1995 campaign of Levi's. His 1997 album Substrata was voted by www.hyperreal.org as one of the all time classic ambient albums.

Originally a quartet including trumpeter Arve Henriksen and bassist Mats Eilertsen, Food has now reduced to its core and founder members Ballamy and Strønen whose concept is to invite like-minded musicians to join them and engage with their contemporary and forward thinking approach to creating music, using sound space texture and contrast to create ever-changing moods and environments for true improvisation.
By combining acoustic elements including bells, blocks, gongs and lyrical saxophone, the music is enhanced and tempered with live sampling and drums creating moods which range from minimalist to very turbulent Food have released 5 albums, most recently "Molecular Gastronomy" for the Norwegian label Rune Grammofon.

MoHa!
MoHa! play somewhat loud music influenced by incredibly varied sources.
Some say the duo deal in sonic splatter, some say this is gibbering and twitching and going off and things good/bad, shape-shifting and gear changing, sharp blasts of savagely intense composition.
