Marit Larsen, a Norwegian singer and songwriter, will be performing at the Mao Live House in Shanghai on the 30th of September.
Larsen first gained international fame during her teenage years as a member of the pop duo M2M with childhood friend Marion Raven. M2M split up in 2002, and Larsen took time off to reflect on her career, but returned in 2006 with her debut single 'Don't Save Me' which stayed at the top of the Norwegian charts for five consecutive weeks.
Of her music, Larsen says: "My everyday life revolves around making my songs. I find songs everywhere. In between two words of a conversation. Waiting for the bus. Watching myself in the mirror wearing a good dress. Reading phenomenal books. Walking up the five flights of stairs to my apartment. I've always been obsessed with music. Most of my memories, good and bad, have their own soundtrack, which is, by the way, by far the best thing about music."
