Nordic stand at Music China

Last updated: 16/09/2011 // For the third year in a row there will be Nordic stand at the Music China expo, held between 11th and 14th of October in Shanghai.

“We are proud of our music history with names like Edvard Grieg, Jean Sibelius and Carl Nielsen, but are even more proud to present our own generation of composers, Simon Steen-Andersen, Anders Hillborg and Kaija Saariaho.”, says Hilde Holbæk-Hansen at Music Information Centre Norway, who is responsible for this year’s stand.

Representatives from Sweden, Denmark and Finland, as well as Norway will be present at the expo. The main focus of the Nordic stand is on promoting contemporary classical composers. However, music for all kinds of instruments and ensembles, choirs and orchestras, in addition to music for young learners will all be displayed.

The expo is open for visitors on the 11th- 13th of October from 9.30 – 17.00 and on the 14th of October from 9.30 – 15.30. The Nordic Stand has place number D31 in hall E2.
