Norwegian among the best in Tour de Ski China 2010

Last updated: 05/01/2011 // Norwegian World Cup skier Mari Eide placed first in the FIS China Bird’s Nest Women’s 1.2km Sprint Final, and ended up on seventh place in Tour de Ski China.

After qualifying to the sprint final in the Olympic Bird’s Nest, Mari Eide was faster than the local hopes Man Dandan and Li Hongxue. She finished the 1,2km in 2:34.3 which secured her the victory and important points in the overall score of Tour de Ski China. It was a long-awaited victory for the Norwegian skier after placing second after Man Dandan in the second leg of the tour.

There were several other Norwegian women and men participating in Tour de Ski China, but unfortunately they did not manage to be among the best this time.

Tour de Ski China took place for the third time, and it is one of the major cross-country ski events in China. It took place in Xiwuqi, Inner Mongolia, Beijing and Changchun, Jilin and the event attracts athletes from several countries including several world cup skiers.
