The women's race saw three Norwegian athletes against France's Elodie Bourgeois Pin in the final but in the end it was Solveig Steinsland who got ahead of the group.
Li Lei gave the home crowd in Xiwuqi something to cheer about, as the skier from Jilin made it to the semi finals of the women's competition. In the end Li Lei ended the day in 8th place, after a very courageous effort in the B-final.
Xiwuqi City in Inner Mongolia has hosted the first stages of Tour de Ski China ever since the start in 2008 and the Tour de Ski events have been drawing bigger crowds each year.
