Elephant in the Room Theatre and the National Theatre of Scotland: Half Way

Last updated: 27/05/2011 // Beijing-based Chinese/European Elephant in the Room Theatre Company brings their short piece "Half Way" to The Beijing Bookworm as part of the National Theatre of Scotland's international "Five Minute Theatre Festival" on Sunday 29 May. The play is written by Norwegian director Oda Fiskum.

"Half Way" is a dialogue where only one half is available to the audience. It's about roots, first impressions, quitting smoking, and the depth and transparency of small talk. Two people are trying to get to know each other, and it seems to be going quite well. The piece is performed by Boryana Todorova Trifonova from Sofia, Bulgaria and Yi Yang from Shenyang, China.

The play is only five minutes long, and will be broadcast in Scotland in June, both as a live screening and on national television as part of the festival.
