The International Ibsen Committee is an organization seeking to promote the works of Henrik Ibsen internationally. In 2010, the Committee will organize the 12th triannual Ibsen Conference in Tromsø, Norway.
He Chengzhou is the director of the China Nordic Cultural centre at Nanjing University. He obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Oslo, where he defended his thesis entitled “Ibsen and the Modern Chinese Drama”.
Professor He has received several prestigious awards or the work he has done of promoting the writings and plays of Henrik Ibsen, including the International Ibsen Award in 2002. In 2006 he also became a member of the Ibsen International Committee.
