The agreement was signed by Jøran Kallmyr, Commissioner for Transport, Environmental Affairs and Business in the City of Oslo, and Arild Blixrud, Commissioner General of Norway at Expo 2010.
- It is expected that 70 million people will visit the Expo 2010, and there will be participants from all over the world. To be present at an arena like this is very important for the business sector in the Oslo region, says Kallmyr.
- Oslo has a lot of qualities that makes us competetive, and it is important to show this to potential investors.
Governing mayor of Oslo, Erling Lae, supplements Kallvik, saying – Oslo is a good city to work and live in. We have a high level of knowledge and a growing cultural scene, in addition to an active industry. Our participation at Expo 2010 will help us build relations within these prioritized areas.
Oslo is the only capital city that has a sister city relationship with Shanghai.
This gives the city a unique opportunity for close relations with the host city of Expo 2010.
