The Norwegian concept “Norway. Powered by Nature” has attracted a considerable amount of attention in China; it focuses on sustainable development and nature-inspired cities, and in this respect it fits very well into the Expo's main theme, “Better City. Better Life”. Recently, Norway's partisipation launched its official website, where you can find information about the Norwegian contribution – in both English, Norwegian and Chinese.
In addition, the official Norwegian logo for the Expo has now been released; it is created by Melvær&Lien Idea-entrepreneurs, and draws on the innovative architecture of the Norwegian pavillion, which will consist of 15 representations of trees.

- The aesthetics are not exclusivly Norwegian, since the logo is supposed to relate to visitors from all over the world, and perhaps in particular to the Chinese, say Linda Voll (art Director) and Petter Skogheim (designer) in Melvær&Lien in a press release.
- The dynamics and the feeling of space in the logo is meant to mirror the experience that people will get from visiting the pavillion. The main intention of the logo is that Expo visitors will recognise the Norwegian pavillion, says Trond Nyman Aarre, advisor and branding leader of the project in Melvær&Lien.
Project Director and Acting Commissioner General of Norway's participation on the Expo, Arild Blixrud, is very happy with the new logo.
- Our logo is meant to strengthen out identity in China and in Norway. The logo mirrors the pavillion's aesthetic expression, and provides the recongnisability we want.
