NorAlumni China is a collaborative project between the Research Council of Norway and Innovation Norway in close cooperation with universities and university colleges throughout Norway, the Norwegian Association of Higher Education Institutions, the Confederation of Norwegian Business and Industries, Abelia, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in China and the Royal Consulates General in Shanghai and Guangzhou.

What are the benefits of joining NorAlumni China?
NorAlumni China provides current and former students with the opportunity to meet people with similar experience. It opens the door to a myriad of other opportunities – job requests, invitations and updates about what is happening in Norway and in Norwegian organizations in China along with the chance to attend both formal and informal events.
Who can register in the network?
• Chinese who have received a full degree (Bachelor, Master or PhD) in Norway or Chinese students studying for a full degree in Norway
• Norwegians who have received a full degree(Bachelor, Master or PhD) in China or Norwegian students studying for a full degree in China
• Special groups established as a result of Norwegian- Chinese cooperation in research and higher education(China Scholarship Council / the Research Council of Norway scholarship program, BI-Fudan MBA program, Nordic Centre students at Fudan University, Norwegian course students at Beijing Foreign Studies University)
• Scholars, professors, researchers and personnel attached to Norwegian and Chinese public or private institutions who are active supporters of a China-Norway academic network
What services and activities does NorAlumni China offer?
NorAlumni China will create a platform for its members and partners to improve their communication and to promote their social and professional interests through membership meetings, social networking events and business guest lectures both in China and in Norway. The members are also encouraged to us the website to initiate their own activities or to establish their own regional alumni chapters.
Through various events, news and announcements on the NorAlumni China website, NorAlumni China will also serve as a matchmaker to facilitate business communities for talent recruitment among the well trained alumni.
The website www.noralumni.no/china offers news, information on activities and a searchable database where each participant’s CV is posted. This database is the hub of the network and will make it easy to find the right contacts.
What does it cost?
The membership is free-of-charge for alumni and students.
How do I join?
Go to www.noralumni.no and sign up for membership. Be sure to fill in the registration information as completely as possible. If you meet the requirements, you will receive an approval notification. Only approved members can use database and other services and activities that NorAlumni offers
