Ousland and Tschudi are more specifically united by the Northeastern Passage, which Ousland successfully traversed in 2010 and Tschudi Shipping Company, of which Tschudi is both chairman and sole owner, is utilizing for cargo transport to and from Hong Kong. The exploitation of the Northern Passage through the Bearing Strait for logistic purposes was for a long time considered impossible. Tschudi Shipping Company is the main pioneer of this new time- and energy saving route, made possible by recent leaps in the development of logistic technology.
Commercial development with a scientific base
Felix Tschudi is also the chairman of the international knowledge exchange forum for logistic in the High North; the Centre for High North Logistics. Founded in 2008, the mission of the centre is to create a professional international cross disciplinary knowledge network consisting of companies, research institutions and public authorities in order to develop sustainable and efficient logistical solutions in the High North.

Human Powerhouse
From his background as a deep sea diver to the south summit of Mt. Everest; Børge Ousland has seen it all. However, his forte has always been in the polar areas, and particularly the Arctic. His main feats are his legendary “unassisted” trek to the North Pole (all previous attempts have been made with supply drops), and his solo expedition across the Antarctic continent, both which still remain to be completed by anyone else. Lesser known but equally important is his work as an environmental researcher. Since 1994, Børge has carried out ice thickness measurements for the Norwegian Polar Institute. With more than 20 years experience in the Arctic, he has become an important eyewitness to the accelerating climate changes.
All over China
