The Spring Festival has come to an end we hope you all had a nice celebration with family and friends. March will be a busy month for the Consulate General as preparations for the Shanghai World Expo are intensifying and many activities will be held.

Writer and journalist Åsne Seierstad will tour China from March 5-14. She will participate at Shanghai International Literary Festival on March 6, as well as attending panel session with students and professors at several universities.

An official delegation representing five different governmental ministries was in Shanghai February 8-11 to inspect the Norwegian Pavilion and discuss the Norwegian contribution on Shanghai Expo 2010.

Shanghai World Expo is now less than 60 days away. The building of the Norwegian pavilion is progressing. For more information please check www.expo2010.no

Norway Business Association in Shanghai held its annual meeting on March 2. The new board members are Bjørn Einar Pedersen, Bjørn Naglestad, Geir Sviggum, Tone Cecilie Moen, Ulf Eriksen, Ole Nustad, Vidar Andersen and Britta Oen.

Klubb Norge is seeking volunteers to help arrange this year’s 17th of May celebration. If you have time to make a contribution, please contact Klubb Norge Shanghai: klubbnorgeshanghai@gmail.com. Also please do not forget Klubb Norge's meeting at restaurant Salabim on Friday March 5 at 7pm. The meetings are informal get-togethers for friends of Norway the first Friday of every month. Delegation from the Norwegian Government visits the Norwegian Pavilion at Expo

An official delegation representing five different governmental ministries was in Shanghai February 8-11 to inspect the Norwegian Pavilion and discuss the Norwegian contribution on Shanghai Expo 2010. A number of Norwegian Ministers will visit Shanghai and the Norwegian pavilion during the Expo, and the Norwegian Government will organize a variety of events showcasing Norwegian experiences and cooperation with China.Read more >

Huawei selects Opera as China enters 3G era
	On February 8, Opera Software announced that Huawei, the Chinese leading global telecommunications solutions provider, will preinstall the Norwegian made browser Opera Mobile 10 on a range of mobile handsets. Read more >

	The Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC), launched a month-long online “I Love Salmon” Chinese New-Year and Valentines’ Day campaign in partnership with renren.com, China’s largest online social networking site which is similar to Facebook. Read more >
