January started off with Ridderrennet in Changchun on Jan. 1, which was a very cold but also a very rewarding experience. In the middle of the month, our Minister of Trade and Industry Mr. Trond Giske made a visit to Shanghai, Yangzhou and Beijing.

The month is now coming to a close, and Chinese New Year is soon upon us. The embassy will be closed a few days during the spring festival.

Ridderrennet China started the New Year
	On Jan 1, Ridderrennet China was held in Changchun. Over 120 disabled athletes from Norway and China took part in Ridderrennet China, which is open for both amateurs and professionals. Read more >

	The Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry Mr. Trond Giske was in China March 11-14. The purpose of his visit was to promote Sino-Norwegian trade and Norwegian export to China. Read more >

Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry Giske opens seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility in Beijing

The Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry Mr. Trond Giske opened a Sino-Norwegian seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Beijing Wednesday 13 January. The seminar was co-organized by the Norwegian Embassy, Innovation Norway, the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) and their Chinese counterpart China Enterprise Confederation (CEC),. More than 100 participants had found their way to the Peninsula Hotel in the cold weather.Read more >
