Embassy Newsletter November 09

Dear friends,

The Royal Norwegian Embassy is glad to issue this newsletter, and to inform you of upcoming events that might be of interest.

October has been a busy month with many activities, and November seems to keep up in the same pace. NOTCH will continue into November, so will Bård Breiviks exhibition Listen and The Core is touring China. The Magic Flute will be in Hong Kong at the beginning of the month, and at the end of the month The Magic Flute will come to Beijing. Nordox – Nordic Documentary Film Festival will take place at UCCA at the end of the month. For Norwegians, there will be many activities arranged by KlubbNorge Beijing, and Julegudstjeneste and Juleverksted will take place in the beginning of December.

The Embassy would like to congratulate the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong with its 25th anniversary.

NOTCH09
	From the 24th of October to the end of November 2009, NOTCH 09’ will provide a comprehensive program of futuristic audio-visual performances, design and architecture exhibitions from both Nordic countries and China.Read more >

Encore for the Core
	The Core, who released their sixth album “the Art of no Return” this year, is said to be one of the most energetic live bands in Norway. This autumn they’ll follow up on their success from last year, with a new, widespreading tour in China.Read more >

The Magic Flute in Hong Kong
	The Magic Flute will be jointly presented by National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), The Norwegian National Opera and Opera Hong Kong. Artists from both China and overseas will unfold a classical magic journey for spectators.Read more >

Bård Breivik solo exhibition “Listen”
	Famous Norwegian artist Bård Breivik is back to Beijing with his solo exhibition “Listen” at Imagine Gallery from Sep. 6th to Nov. 8th, 2009.Read more >
