China and Arctic Seminar

On the occasion of the 3rd China-Nordic Arctic Cooperation Symposium in Shanghai from 26-28 May, several arctic experts from the Nordic countries gathered in Shanghai for this event. Two of the scholars, Professor Rasmus Gjedssø Bertelsen and Dr. Marc Lanteigne, were able to find some time to share with Chinese students at East China Normal University their knowledge and research on this particular subject. The topic of the lecture by Professor Bertelsen was ‘China and Arctic: The Role of Science Diplomacy while Dr. Lanteigne elaborated on China’s Strategies in the Arctic. Nearly 100 students from various departments participated this two hour long lecture. During the Q&A session, the students raised several timely and interesting questions.
